Certified Chimney Sweep Online Review-November/09
This review follows the Successful Chimney Sweeping manual and the inspection chapter and Annex from the 2006 NFPA 211. There is also a component to assist you in finding information from the International Residential Code (IRC)that makes up the second exam. The IRC portion is open book and you must have a copy in order to take the exam. Successful completion of both exams is required for the Certified Chimney Sweep credential to be awarded. You must score an 80 or higher on both exams to pass. In addition to reading this material students will be asked to participate on a daily basis. There are daily lessons and quizzes. Anyone that takes this class will learn about issues relating to the technical aspect of chimney sweeping, troubleshooting, health and safety and much more. It is a great introduction to the industry and a real preparation for the CSIA Certified Chimney exams.
There are five days that will require your attention. The last two days, day 6 and 7, are there so you can log in and check the bulletin board or review your material before the class ends. I am also interested in constructive criticism, useful tips and any wishes or wants that you think would improve this program.
